I was raised in western Pennsylvania about 80 miles north of Pittsburgh in the town of Greenville. I graduated in 1999 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and still reside in the beautiful Charlotte area. At a young age I realized a keen interest in art and design and have carried this passion with me ever since. While attending UNCC I earned my Bachelor's degree in art with a core concentration in Graphic Design, and continue to feed my brain by attending numerous conferences and training seminars covering a wide spectrum of Internet related topics.
My creative career started when I was asked to come in on the ground floor of a close friend's web design start-up firm. Although a rookie, I quickly found my niche as web designer and marketing consultant in this rapidly evolving company. As employee number 3 of what is now a growing 200+ employee firm, I've had the great benefit of being involved in the continued growth and success of a small company. One of the many benefits that this provides me is the opportunity to work, on a personal and senior level, with clients ranging from small local companies to global giants such as UPS, ConAgra Foods, Black & Decker, and DeWalt.
The rapidly changing and evolving creative environment allows me to constantly broaden my core talent base into areas outside the traditional design realm and into areas such as team and project management, integrated marketing, targeted email campaigning, and creative strategy and branding. The opportunity I have to wear multiple hats and to grow and challenge myself are simply priceless.
When it's all done and said and the day's work is finished, even if it is 3:00am, I must say that I feel blessed to be working at something that I have a passion for. To enjoy your work and to take pride in what you do is just an awesome feeling. |
